Gluten Free Tangerine Scones
This scone will become a stable with your morning coffee!
Ingredients:
1 Flax EggÂ
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1/2 cup Mandarin Juice (~ 4 Cuties)Â
1 1/2 cups Almond flour
1/2 cup Chestnut Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Honey (optional)Â
Glaze:
2 Tbsp Mandarin Juice (~ 2 Cuties)
 2 Tbsp Coconut Butter
1 tsp HoneyÂ
Instructions:
1) Preheat oven to 350F
2) Mix all liquid ingredients in your stand up mixer until blended
3) Stop mixer, add in dry ingredients and mix until blended
3) Depending on size of scones, place batter on oiled sheet pan or baking mat. (I get about 5 scones out of this recipe)
4) Bake for 18minutes at 350 F
5) Let cool on wire rack while making glaze
6) To make the glaze, melt all ingredients and slowly pipe out or dip the top of the scone into glaze
7) Enjoy!Â
